Bathroom Demolition FAQs
Answers to common questions about bathroom tearout projects.
How long does bathroom demolition take?
A standard full bathroom typically takes 4-8 hours. Half baths are even quicker—usually 2-4 hours. Master bathrooms with separate tub and shower may take a full day.
Do you remove tile from walls and floors?
Yes, we remove all tile along with the mortar bed and cement board underneath. We leave you with exposed studs or subfloor ready for new installation.
What if there's mold behind the walls?
If we discover mold during demolition, we stop and document it. We can recommend certified mold remediation specialists before continuing with demolition.
Can you remove a cast iron tub?
Absolutely. Cast iron tubs are heavy but we're equipped to remove them. In some cases, we break them into smaller pieces for easier removal without damaging doorways.
Will I still have water to the rest of my house?
Yes. We only shut off water to the bathroom fixtures being removed. The rest of your home's water supply remains active.
Do you work with our renovation contractor?
We love coordinating with contractors. Just share their contact info, and we'll communicate directly to ensure a smooth handoff.
